Serving Christ by Serving Others

The Social Concerns Ministry reaches out to individuals and families in need through volunteer service, donation drives, and partnerships with local organizations. Guided by Christ's call to care for our neighbors, we provide  assistance while fostering compassion, dignity, and hope within our community.

If you or someone you know is experiencing hardship, the Social Concerns Ministry is here to help. We provide assistance through local outreach and referrals to community resources. For assistance or donations, please contact: 📞 201-935-1177. All inquiries are confidential.

🛒Food Donations

Donations are accepted at all weekend Masses. Food donations are also accepted: Every Wednesday 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at the Parish Center. A donation box is also located at the church entrance for your convenience. Please check expiration dates before donating. Thank you for your generosity and support of our neighbors in need.

🍽 Mercy House Food Collection

The Social Concerns Ministry is collecting food donations for Mercy House to help local families in need. Donations will be accepted at all masses. Most Needed ItemsCereal, Pasta & Pasta Sauce, Canned Tuna, Canned Chicken, Canned Salmon, Small Bags of Rice and Granola Bars. 

 

 

🤝 Volunteer Opportunities

St. John's Soup Kitchen – Newark: Join fellow parishioners in serving lunch to those experiencing homelessness. on the second Wednesday of each month from 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM. Volunteers help prepare and serve meals while sharing Christ's compassion with those in need. For more information or to volunteer, contact: Sheryl 📞 201-259-8219.
